This year Grandparents Day was rescheduled due to the storm and yet again it was well worth the wait. Our pupils were amazing today and their eyes had an extra sparkle as they performed for their grandparents. 

Grandparents do so much to help raise and nurture their grandchildren. They have patience and time when parents are too busy. They have stories to tell and interesting games to play. They are good for treats and spoiling which we all need from time to time. Grandparents form the pillars of our lives and guide us in every possible way. They ast as our friend philosopher and guide. 

Today we gathered in St. Marys for a morning mass. The pupils asked God to bless their grandparents as ‘they are cherished memories of our family.’ 

The grandparents and visitors gathered in the school for refreshments and entertainment after the mass. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Thank you to all the staff, teachers and pupils for this celebration.
